I let the finish cure for a full 7 days, then I levelled with 1000 grit sandpaper. Then using my random orbital sander and buffing pads I buffed out the finish with medium and fine buffing pastes. Thennm by hand I polished out any remaining scratches with fine liquid polish. The products I used were Menzerna brand 2L medium and 16 fine pastes, and P091E liquid polish. I am quite happy with how the finish turned out. This finish turned out 100 times better then my Martin kit. This guitar only has a couple minor imperfections, which considering I am new to spraying are probably my technique. Hopefully each guitar will get better and better!
In the pictures below you can see the finish is nice and shiny and you can actually see the reflection of the stuff on a shelf above my bench. You can also see the difference in colour where I removed the bridge mask - you can see the amount of amber I added to the clear coats where the pickguard is. Next I'll cut the pickguard and glue on the bridge. Then it will be time to string it up and set it up! I can't wait!
