Once the glue was dried on the truss rod filler strip, I used a plane to trim it flush with the neck. Then I drilled holes in the body to accept the neck bolts, and installed the neck on the body. It almost looks like a guitar now!!!
I did some work setting the neck angle and making sure the neck is centered to the body.
Then I fretted my fingerboard, beveled the fret ends, and glued the fingerboard to the neck. I used 2 small brad nails to locate the fingerboard and keep it from moving around when applying the glue and clamps.

Next I used chisels, a rasp, and a scraper to rough shape the back of the neck. This neck is going to be HUGE because the 40's L-0 it is modeled after has a very large baseball bat neck that measures a bit over 1" at the first fret! The neck is pretty symmetrical so far, can't wait to see howit turns out once I sand it smooth.
