I got lots more done on the L-0 yesterday. I got the fingerboard slotted and tapered. I still have to radius and thickness the board, but I'm waiting to get a radius sanding block from Stewmac before I can do that. You can see from the pic that its a nice piece of rosewood! The other piece of rosewood is for the bridge.
I did some rough work on the neck blank as well but forgot to grab a pic. I have the blank cut to lenth and the neck angle cut on the end of the blank to meet the body. I'm straying from the design of the original L-0 a bit when it comes to neck joint. I will be doing a mortise and tenon bolt-on joint. Below is a picture of the fixture I built out of scraps of pine shelving to cut the mortise in the body with a 1/2" flush cut routing bit, and the finished route.
