Tonight I took some time to modify my mold..... basically I cut most of the mold away in order to be able to clamp the top and back. The top and back fit nicely to the sides, so I think my pictured clamping method will work well, but I do need to add a few extra clamps. Its exciting seeing it all clamped together like this!
I also laid out the center line of the fingerboard and the locations of the snowflake inlays, as well as the locations for the small dot inlays on the top of the fingerboard. I made sure to count the frets a few times to make sure I am marking the correct locations. I have read about guys on the net who messed up and put an inlay at the wrong fret and I do NOT want to do that!
I ordered extra inlays, so I will try to inlay on a scrap piece of wood before I start working on the fingerboard. Will update as soon as I finish some more!
